Group Visits
Bring your groups along to the Mohair Centre for a visit with a difference! Pick 'n' Mix your day at the farm from the following activities!
Activities will be tailored to the age or type of group concerned.

Farming
We can arrange a talk and tour of the farm,
or for those who want to have a "hands On"
experience you can get involved with feeding
the animals. This will be led by one of the
farm staff. Milking and bottle feeding are
Always popular at certain times of the year.
For any children or adults who are unsure of
Animals, the Rabbit and Guinea Pig Villages
are the ones to choose.
Textiles
A brief introduction to fibre, carding, spinning, weaving and felt making. Create a bag of goodies to take home.
Woodland School
A chance to learn about nature using our newly cleared pond and woodland areas. Activities led by trained staff. Take something home as a memory, whether just gathered or made.
Cost: £4.00 per person (under 2 yrs free) - minimum charge £80.00. Groups of approx. 30 or less - 4 adults free. Additional adults will be charged at £4.00 per person.
Timing: 2 to 3 hours morning or afternoon sessions 7 days a week - Approx 10.00 to 12.30, 12.30 to 3.00 or 4.00 to 6.30. Double sessions are available.
Please wear suitable farm clothes and footware. We are a working farm. For those attending the woodland school wet weather clothing is advised, please ask staff for advice before attending.
There is a small gift shop where we have a small selection of goodies for visitors to buy, please advise us in advance if you wish us to open the shop.
Lunch: We have a picnic area and play area where packed lunches can be consumed away from the animals and there are undercover facilities should it be wet. Hire of DIY BBQ available at £1.00 per head.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available on a DIY basis in the tea room.
